A Great Start To My 2015

I Started Classes

I just realized how long it has been since I last posted anything. It has been FOREVER! I have just been so busy and with my classes starting, it had completely slipped my mind and I am so sorry x.x

In class we are supposed to work on our professional image and ad cosmetology students, this means we have to wear perfectly applied makeup, perfectly styled hair and well groomed manicured nails so I’m getting a haircut soon and a set of acrylics. I think im good on the makeup though. =)

I have quite a drive to class so I’m going to start a video segment on my YouTube account and I’ll try to post weekly. I already filmed a few times in the car but I couldn’t find a good balance of the air and music for the car ride to it came out cruddy not to mention my phone mount wasn’t tight enough and shook too much while I was filming.

Class so far has been pretty fun. Lots of book work for right now since we are still just starting out a lot of disease control and science right now. We have been working on our heads though. I have given Zoey 2 haircuts and a few styles including French braids and curls. We have even gone a scalp treatment on her and learned about relaxation massages to do while shampooing. XD

We have been taking LOTS of tests so far and I have been doing awesome on all of them I have an A for the class!!! IRSC has this awesome thing called Blackboard. It’s online and there is an app too. I’m in love with it. Our quizzes are on it, pdfs of chapter outlines and up to date grades. Its super helpful for staying on track and I can work on my tests and study anywhere I go by just using my tablet.

Speaking of my tablet, I need a new case. And since I’m replacing my case anyway, I figured I might as well look for a case with an attached keyboard so I can take better notes since my hand writing is chicken scratch.

Sorry

Sorry I haven’t posted consistently for a while. I have been a bit sick and in a lot of pain. I go back for my second round of steroid injections for my back tomorrow. So after I spend the weekend getting back in the groove I should be back up and running smoothly. I did make a video about Comic Con where I go through all my pictures and everything but the sound quality was horrible and I couldn’t do anything about it digitally so I had to scrap it. Not before working on it for a day and a half first. XP Well anyway, I plan to be a lot more consistent with my blog and my YouTube account as well. Once I start cosmetology school I will have plenty to talk about and will be filming and posting constantly. Funny thing is, I would bet money a good chunk of filming will be done in my car. I have a new phone mount, and I’ll probably be starting a segment of my YouTube channel called “Take A Drive With Me” where I just talk and drive. Its prime time to talk since I’ll be alone in the car and won’t have to worry about being too loud. So once again, I’m sorry I have been a horrible blogger buddy lately.

Blog name

Sooooo…. It took me forever to come up with a blog name. Every name I came up with was already taken. “The Freak Chic Critique”, “Pretty in Punk”, “Runway Streets”,  “Age of Aquarius Apperal”. I even blog blocked myself way back in 2011 by making a blog with my nick name “Jezzie13” and I didn’t even have one post. But as I scour the internet and look at other bloggers, I see a lot of them use their real names or variations. After all the trouble I went through to find a good name, I wonder if I should change the name once again? I don’t think I will but I wonder if I will regret it one day…..

Ok, so I have been watching my blog religiously to see if there is any traffic and I see a few people come across my blog a day but not a single comment DX
