Rope Braid

I figured out a really pretty, really complicated rope braid today using four sections! Lucky for me, Tori had such long hair for me to work with. I'm actually really proud of this. I need to practice so it looks smoother and less bumpy.

Mall and Movies

At the Mall with Mama Boots today! After we went to lunch at Bob Evens we went to go see The Giver at the AMC in the Indian River Mall. The Movie was fantastic! We have wanted to see The Giver for a long time now and we were REALLY late to the punch getting to actually go see it.
By the time we were both together and had the time to go, the movie wasn’t in our local theater anymore. Lucky for us we got to see it on the last day it was showing at AMC. We were super early to the mall and had over an hour to kill before the movie started so we went to a few stores while we waited.
Rue21! Is one of my favorite store and they had this adorable tulle skirt in black that I REALLY wanted but sadly I didn’t have any money. But I also saw this adorable little headband with a bow with wire so you can adjust it and Mama Boots got it for me! Super Cute!

Bob Evens Caramel Mochas!

This is kind of weird for me to do but I am actually going to do a quick review of a drink at a family restaurant. I don’t know why I feel that it is so weird but it really was. Mama Boots and I were out and about going to a bunch of doctors’ appointments for my pre-op when
we decided to stop into Bob Evens for some lunch. We were both starving by lunch time because I had to fast for blood tests and wouldn't let her eat without me,so when we got in there we were all about the food. That is until Mama Boots discovered their hot Caramel Mochas on the menu.
Chocolate Caramel coffee is her kryptonite so when she saw it she flipped out. When she got hers she was raving about it so much I got one for myself. They were sooo good! I only had one but Mama Boots had four! We ended up ordering too
much food but it was defiantly worth it. I ordered apple pancakes while Mama Boots ordered Chcolate Chip pancakes to go with her Caramel Mochas. XD

So I give Bob Evens Caramel Mochas a 10/10!

Pink Hair

I keep changing my hair. I just can’t keep one color for too long, it just bothers me.  And so I decided to go pink…. Again. XD it took a while because I wanted to bleach it slowly do I wouldn’t damage it but it came out awesome! I took Pictures of each color my hair was on the way to pink. It looks pretty cool XD
I used my favorite pink dye, “Pink Fetish” from Splat. I also bought the new Splat Ombre kit in “Rain” which comes with new pink and purple shades called "Pink Mist" and "Violet Storm".
I plan to ask if my friend Tori from school could go back and fix my roots for me because I missed a few places with the bleach so the pink didn’t take to those parts and can’t really see the back of my head so I’ll need the help. =/ but overall I am super happy with the results. I might change it up a bit when its time to touch it up. Maybe use the ombre kit to throw in some under color or a slight ombre or streaks.
I haven’t decided yet. Tori says I should just use the purple on my roots now so it covers the places I missed and it gives it an ombre effect going from purple at the roots for an inch or so and blending into the pink on the rest. I guess time will tell. Who knows? I might just do it all!
Well there is one thing for sure though, it feels good being pink again. Crazy as it sounds it actually feels natural for me. Its good to be back =)

Surgery: Round 2

I found out today that I need to go in for another surgery and soon. Sadly I will have to quit school so I can undergo my surgery and recover. Well I’m not really “quitting” school, I’m putting school on hold until next February when I can pick up where I left off. I plan to get better and get a job by then. Crossing my fingers. Wish me luck and a speedy recovery!

Every Day Makeup For School

As a cosmetology student, my class and I are required to work on our professional image as we go to school to we are prepared when we start our lives after. For us, this includes wearing makeup every day.
Considering that I have to wear makeup every day for school, I figured might as well go the little extra mile right? So I played with a few looks before I settled on a nice soft neutral look. This is the makeup I put on when I don’t want to deal with liquid liner. That’s a whole nother ball game. lol
This is what I used:
 -L.A. Colors 12 color Pallet - Trendy
-NYC IndividualEyes  Pallet - Centeral Park for Green eyes
-CoverGirl Clean pressed powder Compact - Ivory
-Revlon LashPotion mascara - Black
-Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick – Blushing Nude
-CoverGirl TruConceal Concealer – Fair
- Jordana Eyeliner pencil - Black

I Started Classes

I just realized how long it has been since I last posted anything. It has been FOREVER! I have just been so busy and with my classes starting, it had completely slipped my mind and I am so sorry x.x
In class we are supposed to work on our professional image and ad cosmetology students, this means we have to wear perfectly applied makeup, perfectly styled hair and well groomed manicured nails so I’m getting a haircut soon and a set of acrylics. I think im good on the makeup though. =)

I have quite a drive to class so I’m going to start a video segment on my YouTube account and I’ll try to post weekly. I already filmed a few times in the car but I couldn’t find a good balance of the air and music for the car ride to it came out cruddy not to mention my phone mount wasn’t tight enough and shook too much while I was filming.

Class so far has been pretty fun. Lots of book work for right now since we are still just starting out a lot of disease control and science right now. We have been working on our heads though. I have given Zoey 2 haircuts and a few styles including French braids and curls. We have even gone a scalp treatment on her and learned about relaxation massages to do while shampooing. XD

We have been taking LOTS of tests so far and I have been doing awesome on all of them I have an A for the class!!! IRSC has this awesome thing called Blackboard. It’s online and there is an app too. I’m in love with it. Our quizzes are on it, pdfs of chapter outlines and up to date grades. Its super helpful for staying on track and I can work on my tests and study anywhere I go by just using my tablet.

Speaking of my tablet, I need a new case. And since I’m replacing my case anyway, I figured I might as well look for a case with an attached keyboard so I can take better notes since my hand writing is chicken scratch.
